In our 21st century world it seems so many relate to life through the television or movie screen.
Of course we all have a life. But that life is often so burdensome we have no time for the sensitivities of human life. Our burdens of paying the bills, putting food on the table and keeping a roof over our heads are often all consuming. If lucky, some get the annual vacation where they can experience and explore their human sensitiveness. Others only dream of such luxuries.
Few seem to have time to truly live a life in touch with our human sensibilities and sensitivities. In order to supplement that void many live vicariously through television and movies.
Often, it seems, the movies and shows that touch our hearts stand tall. They give us a glimpse at love that exists on a higher plain. A love we seldom experience but often dream of. In that vicarious moment, that fleeting moment, we really feel. We become, for that moment, fully aware of our human self, sensitivity and sensibility.
In that moment, we escape from our chains of burden. We believe there is still hope. Sometimes we even leave the theater or television viewing area with that ‘warm fuzzy’ feeling. Perhaps even a smile! But eventually, reality comes back and we dismiss it all with the simple phrase “that was a good movie/show”.
For a brief time we were able to dream, while still awake. But our conditioning kicked in afterwards and we became the ‘good little robots/citizens’ we are supposed to be.
A very famous man once said “I have a dream”. His words and actions made a great change in the world. But he didn’t do it alone. It took many people standing up with him to bring about the much needed change in the world.
I dare say the vast majority of people in the world are not happy with the current status quo in our world. But make no mistake, it is our world and we need to take it back. If it wasn’t for us, the people, the powerful people of the world would be powerless.
You see, slavery has never been removed from our world. It has simply become reborn in the form of money. The slave masters no longer use whips, instead, they now use taxes, interest and levies of a monetary nature.
Great change in our society has always required great commitment by great numbers of people. Slavery, as it once existed, required a war to abolish. Civil rights for women required great numbers of women protesting. Civil rights for African Americans required great numbers protesting and a great number of deaths (deaths which continue to this day even after they received their civil rights). The LGBTQI community is now experiencing the same.
Until a great number of us stand up to those in power, we will continue to be under their control.
The next time you watch a movie or show that reminds you of your human sensitivities and sensibilities don’t let that feeling of hope dissipate. Don’t let those who have conditioned us continue to control us. Don’t continue to be a slave. Hold on to that and never let go.
We must organize in mass and stop the madness. We must take the power away from the powerful.
Our world is rich in resources yet a small percentage of the population control the vast majority of those resources. For this reason we have people who can not read, people who are starving and living in the streets. People who can not obtain medical care or proper medication. People who are suffering and doing without so the rich can become more rich.
The cost of greed is the destruction of society. Hello! That means the death of us all! It’s a no win situation. Who will the rich and powerful prey on when all are poor? In the game of greed it’s about the greedy getting all they can. I ask you, in such a game, what happens to everyone else when the one ‘winner’ get’s it all? Are they truly a winner? It seems the position as ‘king of the hill’ is a very lonely one!
Unfortunately we, the people, can not sit back and expect the greedy to voluntarily give up their riches. We can not expect them to help their fellow human family member. After all, their primary focus is to help themselves. They have already proven that.
I ask my fellow human family members to wake up and stand up. We must all join shoulder to shoulder to stop the greed which will cause the destruction of us all.
Stop living vicariously through the movies and shows. Start living for real! Start by loving and caring about your fellow human family members. So many of whom are suffering in our current society worldwide.
If you need a reminder of what it is like to care for a fellow human family member, here is a good example. Click here
