On Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 3pm ET (Noon PT) Queer Public Radio will speak with author J. L. Harris. The phone lines will be open so you can speak with J.L. yourself.

J. L. Harris reflects on her personal life experiences in her recently published book The Rainbow Shines in the Rain.

Although the book is fictional it is loosely based on events that occurred in the life of J.L. Harris.

The coming of age story introduces us to Shantae, a beloved child, Christian and sports over achiever. Shantae's life takes an unexpected turn when she learns a female classmate has a crush on her.
