Peace on Earth and Brotherly/Sisterly Love

Peace on Earth and Brotherly/Sisterly Love are terms we rarely hear these days.

Unfortunately these are bedrocks of a solid societal foundation.

It seems the loving and caring foundation has been replaced with a competitive mindset. This competitive mindset is the cornerstone of a divided societal foundation. Division is not a positive aspect. It does not encourage a thriving and flourishing society.

We have all heard the term ‘divide and conquer’ used and we all know it is a negative connotation. We all know there are dire consequences to such a mindset. Yet, so many in our human family actively participate in these methods daily!

Instead of trying to make everything better for everyone, most are self-absorbed.

This mindset is a product of brain washing. From birth we are inducted into a competitive mindset. Throughout our childhood we continue to develop that competitive mindset. It becomes an integral part of us. One that is almost impossible to overcome.

We are taught that we have little value unless we participate in this way. We are taught winning is everything. With this mentality the vast majority of people are losers!

This winner and loser mentality causes division. And so, we have the basis of a divided human family (society).

This extends to many aspects. For example, the American Indians and a few other societies realize the important role of elders. However, in the bulk of the world elders are losers. Indeed many feel elders hold no value.

In similar fashion, history, too many, has little value. It has been said, those who choose to ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

We all know many civilizations have come and gone on this globe. Fortunately those civilizations didn’t have weapons that could destroy the entire earth. If they did, I dare say, none of us would be here today!

In other words, the responsibility level has vastly increased.

In our divided competitive world with such weapons available to any person/country that has enough money, our world is on a path of destruction!

It is no longer the simple destruction of a civilization that is at risk. It is the destruction of the entire human family, the entire planet earth!

I fear it is to late, but hope to be proved wrong.

Love is the magic key.
