Listening to GayTalkRadio.org and surfing the Internet simultaneously

In most cases this is a non-issue since other software is playing GayTalkRadio. However if you are using the web based player this topic does apply.

With the advent of 'tabbed browsers' you can simply open another tab to surf the internet. You may also simply open GayTalkRadio.org in one browser window (listen from there) and then open another browser window to surf the Internet.

Most listeners use the default software on their computer to play MP3 files. If you already play sound files on your computer you more than likely already have software for listening to GayTalkRadio.

On GayTalkRadio.org, at the top of the left hand column, you see some buttons that look like this:

The first button, on the left, is the most commonly used. It works with Winamp and several other player types. The second button, from the left, is usually used with Windows Media Player. The third button is for Real Player. The fourth button was for Quicktime and is currently not available. The last is the web based player.

When you click on one of these buttons (at the top of the lefthand column on GayTalkRadio.org) it will open your default sound player which is already installed on your computer. This means your Internet browser will not be used at all to hear GayTalkRadio. Freeing it up for you to surf the Internet however you please.

If none of the first 3 buttons work for you it's likely you don't have software installed on your computer to play GayTalkRadio. We recommend using Winamp. We personally prefer Winamp Lite. Click here to download Winamp Lite free version. If you want the full free version it's available at winamp.com.
